Description

The MCH Duty redefines what a hard-use, take-it-to-hell-and-back flashlight should be. Powerful, versatile, configurable, reliable and durable to the point of absurdity, the MCH Duty does not disappoint. It has no equal.

Durability:

With the advent of the OWL, Cloud Defensive became known as a company that prioritizes innovation, power and ultimately, survivability of the product. And the MCH Duty carries that legacy forward. Shrouded in S7 tool steel, the light head features the best tech we have ever packed into light head. That protective tool steel is then heat-treated to 51-55 Rockwell and Black Nitride plated. Resulting in an amazing and brutally-tough piece of equipment.

All that to say that you can view your light as a tool that is basically impervious to impact. Fun Fact: They make jackhammer tools from the same S7 tool steel we use in this light.

We all know the real world is not a gentle place. The MCH Duty is not only ANSI/PLATO FL1 compliant. It is also waterproof to an IPX-8 rating, being serviceable to 100ft for 24hrs. Because the real world is not a dry place either.

Capability:

The MCH Duty High Output brings an incredible 1,800 lumens to bear on whatever situation you find yourself facing. Calibrated for a massive “hot spot” with an overwhelming 50,000 Candela, the Duty light gives you the unique ability to not only push light far into the night, but to do so with more expansive coverage than anything else in its class. This gives you world-class situational awareness, defeats dead space and lights up shadows. It completely renders a would-be-aggressors night-adapted vision useless. In short, it overwhelms the situation with light and performs precisely as you want a handheld, hard-use light to perform. MCH Duty gives you a capability you have never had.

In a lower-power mode, the MCH Duty becomes a wonderful administrative flashlight with very extended run-times. For example, you can run the Duty in “low” power mode (10% output) for most of the night on a fresh battery charge.

As such, this is the light that lives on your nightstand, in your car, in your desk, in your garage or anywhere else for that matter. MCH Duty is the most versatile light we have ever produced.

Specifications:

The MCH Duty is a full-size light driven an 18650 battery. By maintaining the 18650 as the primary power source we were able to maintain the Dual Fuel concept and ensure the light also runs on two CR123 lights. That is critical for emergency situations or extended use in the field.

In terms of form-factor, intended to be a light prioritizing capability and durability, creating the smallest-possible package was not the goal. We wanted brute strength. As such, the MCH Duty is a modest 1.40” outer diameter at the light head. That gives you optimal ergonomics and great compatibility with light holsters.

Programmability:

The MCH Duty is fully programmable, by the end-user. This allows you, for the first time, full control over the output of the flashlight. Every MCH ships from the factory in Mode 1. But there are 4 other modes you can select, based on your needs. And you can change the programming anytime you want. So the MCH is more configurable than ever before.

Battery Changing with Ease:

With the all new MCH, you are able to easily change the battery from the light head side of the MCH. The positive end always goes to the front of the light. And there is reverse polarity protection built in just in case.

Power:

The Full size MCH uses 1 Lithium Ion, Rechargeable, Flat-top, Unprotected 18650 which is included. It is also compatible with most button-top unprotected cells and. The Full size MCH has very limited compatibility with Protected cells. Do not assume compatibility with those. We favor the Unprotected cells due to the substantial performance increases.

The MCH lights also now accept CR123 batteries. Use of CR123 batteries will absolutely result in lower output and shorter run-times. That is purely a function of CR123 cells being very inferior to our rechargeable cells. But this new CR123 capability is perfect for use in emergency situations.
